Builder holds fundraiser for Hurricane Sandy victims
When Hurricane Sandy devastated the East coast, disaster relief volunteer N. Harris Malik was reminded of a night not too long ago spent watching the pine trees nearly touch the ground during Hurricane Ike.
“We knew one of them was going to come down,” he said. “At exactly 4 a.m. one of those trees came down and landed right next to the window. It went from one end of the house to the other.”
